Dean's passion for these movies, along with his creative mind in developing this scene and his undeniable artistic talent make this a truely unique artwork.

While working full time as a visual artist on the 'ELVIS' movie set back in 2019-2020, by night Dean was working tirelessly on the concept drawing for this masterpiece - The Ultimate Gangster Reunion.

Like working at a puzzle, he worked on and off for a period of about 7mths continuing to alter, add, remove and shuffle around ideas and characters. Slowly, bit by bit it all came together.

As Dean was doing the final touches to his drawing, (the cobbled road, the 'Nonna' in the window, the 'M4F1A' number plate), one day

Tom Hanks came to work not knowing he had covid!!

With the 'Shut down' of the movie set Dean had the perfect opportunity to put paint to canvas.

So he taped a 3mx2m blank canvas onto his living room wall and spent the next 4 mths, day and night, bringing his concept drawing to life. Using only his paint brushes, a tin of black acrylic house paint he found in his shed and tubes of white paint, his idea soon became a reality.

During this time, Dean immersed himself in revisiting many great mafia movies for inspiration.

He's definitely no stranger to the classic mob movies, he's enjoyed for years the likes of 'Scarface', 'Godfather's' and the 'Sopranos'.

His wife Mary even speaks of when they meet 25yrs ago, Dean having a framed Poster of Al Pacino hanging at the entry of his front door.

As Dean had only painted music themed paintings in this 'Ultimate Reunion Series', the whole 4mths dean spent painting this one, he had his fingers crossed hoping that the Gangster themed painting would be equally well received by his art critics.

Fortunately this artwork has been a great success.

So much so, now the question stands,, how is he going to top this one??

..........He has mentioned perhaps a BOND 007 theme -the Bond's, the cars, the girls!!...... Sshhhh!!!
