Dean Turner
Dean Leroy Turner is an award winning Australian artist and musician from the Gold Coast, Queensland, originally born at Kelowna, Canada but grew up in southern suburbs of Sydney.
Dean has won a number of prestigious awards for his fine art including First Prize at the Darcy Doyle Portrait Prize (2013) for ‘Vinne’ (acrylic on canvas) and The People’s Choice Award for Royal Queensland Art Society (2014) for ‘Heaven Can Wait’ (acrylic on canvas).
Dean Turner’s creative skills as an artist have taken him all over the world where he has consulted with large, multinational companies including, Warner Brothers, Movie World, Dreamworld, Aussie World, Kool Kids Kindys, Gold Coast City Council, Treasury Casino and Art Now Studios in Australia, Italy, England, Fiji and the Ukraine.
He is known for his speed and brush ability when applying his skills to wall murals, illustrations and fine art for private commissions and scenic art for major film and Television productions such as on the Big Brother TV series (the original on the national network channel Ten) Australia, feature movies such as Fool’s Gold (2008) and Daybreakers (2008) to name just a few.
